Parks and Recreation
The Granada Community Services District (GCSD) gained parks and recreational jurisdiction on October 1, 2014, for the unincorporated areas of El Granada, Miramar, Clipper Ridge and Princeton (i.e., the “GCSD Community”). The district’s Parks and Recreation (P&R) Mission is to serve GCSD’s community with thoughtful development of parks and provision of recreational activities for residents of all ages and abilities, with a dedicated focus on environmental stewardship..
The GCSD Board of Directors guides district parks and recreation actions with input from the broader community. The district is actively planning new park and recreation facilities, which will support more local recreation and community-driven activities. The proposed park and Community Recreation Center plans are beginning the process of regulatory reviews and permitting in the spring of 2023.
