Notice of Vacancy on the District Board of Directors of the Granada Community Services District

NOTICE OF BOARD MEMBER VACANCY

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to California Government Code section 1780, that a vacancy exists on the District Board of Directors of the Granada Community Services District, which may be filled by appointment by the remaining members of the Granada Community Services District Board of Directors at a future board meeting within the next 60 days at the District Board meeting room located at 504 Avenue Alhambra, 3rd Floor, El Granada, CA.

The District has parks and recreation powers within the unincorporated areas of the District and is responsible for sanitation including construction, operation, collection, and transportation of wastewater and solid waste within its boundaries. The District is a Member Agency of the Sewer Authority Mid-Coastside, which manages and operates the sewer treatment plant located in Half Moon Bay.

Eligible candidates must be at least 18 years of age, a registered voter, and live within the District, which generally includes the unincorporated areas of El Granada, Miramar, Princeton, Princeton-by-the-Sea (Clipper Ridge) and a portion of the City of Half Moon Bay (from Frenchman’s Creek north).

Persons interested in this position should submit a letter of interest along with a resume or statement of qualifications addressed to the Board of Directors of the Granada Community Services District, delivered either in person or by email to Hope Atmore, District Secretary, at hatmore@granada.ca.gov

The person appointed by the Board shall immediately fill the board vacancy, and will serve for the balance of the unexpired term of office through November 2026.
