Explore the Tide Pools at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve

Tide Pool Walk at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve – Sunday, February 9, 2:00-3:30PM - Join GCSD Board Member Barbara Dye, a Docent with Friends of Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, on a 90 minute trip to the tidepools on a day with a negative tide. You'll see lots of sea creatures, from anemones to zostera (sea grass), as well as mussels, sea urchins, and hermit crabs. If you are lucky, you will see all three kinds of local sea stars. Please note that Barbara will be doing this walk for GCSD, not officially as a Fitzgerald Docent. Be aware that there is a long staircase and the rocks can be slippery and uneven. Group will meet in the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve parking lot located at 200 Nevada Beach, Moss Beach.
